Artifacts

I found it to be very interesting after looking back on all of the different writings that I had from last week. It shows how you vary and talk differently from person to person. I actually did more writing than I realized and maybe that will make me like to write more. I like to write about information that is interesting to me and I find comfortable to write about. This activity made me appreciate how important writing is and how often we write each day.

The person you talk to affects the way you write and what you say to them. For example, when I talk to my sister it is more comfortable and easy to talk about anything. I am very close to my sister and we laugh at stupid stuff that other people would not think is that funny. I also talk to my high school friends different than my new friends here at Texas Christian University because I have known my high school friends a lot longer than my Texas Christian University friends. My conversations with my high school friends are different since I have known them longer and we are comfortable to talk to each other about anything. I know more information about my high school friends which makes it easier to start a conversation and we always have something we can talk about. Lastly I talk to my parents a lot different than my friends and sister. I am more polite and respectful to my parents. I ask my parents for advice and what to do in certain situations. I am also more loving and caring towards them.

The purpose and the content you use when talking to different people varies from person to person. You’re writing style and the way you talk is very different when talking to your friends rather than your parents. When I talk to my friends it is more like whats up, what are we going to do and maybe some curse words rather than being polite and respectful to your parents. I did not think about how your tone and writing style can change some much from person to person.

I did not realize my writing varies so much from one person to another until I looked at all of the writings I did last week. I thought this was a very interesting activity and he helped me become a better writer. I think it is important to include a little bit of each type of writing in your essay so it adds a little variety to your essay.
